VTS Workday: Wigi Wetlands

Hey everyone,
Just shooting out a reminder that our next volunteer workday will be this Saturday, the 27th, from 9 to 11am. We’ll meet in our usual spot, directly behind the Walmart at the Bayshore Mall. It may be rainy, but we are in the peak of our restoration season. It’s been nice and rainy, so we’ll be able to pull out plenty of invasives. There is a good amount of small pampas grass that we’ll be pulling from the recently excavated area. We’ll also be working on clearing that area of any leftover scotch broom, fennel, and trash. Depending on the crowd, we have plenty more to work on.
Please think about joining us for a fun…and possibly moist workday! It’s wet, but definitely the best time to rip stuff out of the ground.
