We supply gloves and tools (or you can bring your own). We also have a selection of snacks and beverages available.
For our 9:00-11:00am, Sunday, Cinco de MayoWorkday, we will be doing many of the same tasks we did on our April Workday — Weed-eating and hand-weeding around Clark Slough. We may also have some native Lupine seedlings to plant on the banks of Clark Slough (if that interests you). We will supply weed-eaters, but it would be great if volunteers could bring their own.
Clark Slough is the fenced area across the street from the Wharfinger building. The banks of the slough are steep and reinforced with rip-rap. Two years ago we removed the Fennel and Pampas Grass that was over-growing the banks of the slough.  Since then, we have planted hundreds of native plants on the banks. Until the native plants get established, we need to do a lot of weeding (we provide the hand tools) .
There is also an opportunity to pick up litter throughout the area.
Snacks and Beverages afterwards!
New and Old, Regular and Occasional — All Volunteers are welcome!

Currently the weather forecast for Sunday calls for a slight chance of rain, so you may want to consider bringing rainwear
