VTS Workday: McKay Community Forest

Season’s Greetings, Trail Stewards 
We hope you can join our last monthly trail workday of 2023 at the McKay Community Forest
Saturday, Dec. 2nd
9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
We will continue rocking the lower trail section on the east side of Redwood Acres. Meet at the storage container at Redwood Fields at 9 a.m. to go over the workday logistics and gather tools, supplies, and snacks before heading to the trail site. Lunch will be provided by noon! 
We work rain or shine! The weather forecast reads a high of 60 degrees with areas of high clouds for the morning. No rain on the radar for now.
Meet at Redwood Fields on Fern St. (off Walnut Drive) in Cutten, at the storage container adjacent to the parking lot at 9:00 a.m. - Volunteers should wear appropriate work clothing, boots and bring a small day pack for carrying food and water as the varying project locations will require hiking to access (.5 mi to 2 mi generally).
- Volunteers are encouraged to arrive 5-10 mins early so that enough tools and food can be made available for all.
- All new volunteers will be required to sign a one-time liability release form that will cover all subsequent workdays.
- All tools, gloves, trail and safe working techniques training will be provided by the county and VTS.
