MLT VTS Workday at Mad River Bluffs
November 23 @ 8:06 am
Volunteer Trail Stewards are resuming workdays with the McKinleyville Land Trust (MLT)
The first MLT workday is scheduled for Sunday, January 23 from 10-12 pm at Mad River Bluffs focusing on the Baduwat Trail
Parking is at the north end of Ocean Drive (map below)
We will be cutting back shrubs and vegetation about 2 – 3 feet on either side of the trail, scraping grass off the trail, relocating native iris and cutting back blackberry from around the kiosk. If time allows we can also work on cutting back blackberry on the east side of the trail.
While we have some tools it is great if folks can bring their own PPE and tools such as pruners, loppers, gloves, shovels, wheel barrows and weed eaters
Spacing is limited to 10 volunteers. As per COVID protocols, please bring a mask to wear during the initial group meetup.
To participate, please contact Julie Neander at firstname.lastname@example.org
