Volunteer Trail Stewards (VTS) -projects of the Humboldt Trails Council

Join volunteer days to help maintain the trails. Each trail project has its own schedule and goals. Learn about trail maintenance, local native and non-native plants, recreation management, and meet kindred outdoors people! 1.Arcata Community Forest Trails: 4th Saturdays, except December; 9 -12 p.m. Meeting locations TBA. Contact Rees

2.Eureka Waterfront Trail North (Tydd St. to Adorni Center): 3rd Saturdays; 9-11 a.m. Meet at the foot of X Street in front of Blue Ox Mill. Contact Gretchen

3.Eureka Wharf Trail (“C” St to Del Norte St.): 1st Saturdays & occasional Tues & Thurs; 9-11 a.m. Meet at W. Waterfront Drive. Look for volunteers in blue vests. Contacts Wanda or here

4.Hammond Trail (Arcata Bottoms to Clam Beach, McKinleyville): 1st Saturdays, 9-11 a.m. Meeting locations TBA. Contact Stacy

5.Hikshari’ Trail (Truesdale St. to Elk River Park & Ride): 2nd Saturdays; 9-11 a.m. Meet at the end of Hilfiker Ln. Contact Mark

6.McKay Community Forest: 1st Saturdays; 9-12 p.m. weekly Tuesdays & Thursdays; 9-2 p.m. Meeting locations TBA. Contact Dennis
