Wigi Wetlands VTS Workday

Hey everyone,

Just a reminder that our monthly workday will be this Saturday from 9 to 11am and we’ll be meeting in our usual spot behind Walmart. Last month was fantastic! We got a ton of trash picked up thanks to PacOut Green Team and we got a bunch of big scotch broom cut down thanks to all our amazing wigi volunteers. This ensured that we got all the scotch broom removed in a large section before it went to seed. Yay!!! With all this amazing rain we’ve been getting (and needed), it looks like we’ll be able to pull some scotch broom stumps that we left after cutting the tops off. Also, if you’re looking for something a little less strenuous, there is always trash to pickup somewhere throughout the site.

Lastly, if you’re interested, there is the College of the Redwoods plant sale happening that weekend and the CNPS has a spring native plant sale and wildflower show the following weekend.
