October 20, 2024 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

Dear Trail Stewards and Mckinleyville Land Trust Volunteers,
Please join us this Sunday October 20 from 10am -12 pm at Chah-GAH-Cho. If you have not been there before, come help us out and discover one of the best views of the Mad River as it winds through the Arcata Bottoms.
Park behind the Mill Creek Cinema – on Betty Court off of School Road. We will gather there before heading out. See map below.
At 10am, we will have a talk by Dr Justin Luong on his native grass restoration project in the grass area near the Mad River bottoms overlook. We will also be hosting the Arcata High School Go Green Club who will help out at the restoration study plot. Our workday will focus will be on pulling ivy.
Work occurs rain or shine. Please bring your own gloves, hand clippers, and water if you can. We will supply light snacks, water, gloves, and some hand tools. Please RSVP to this email so we have an idea of how many will be attending.
Have a great week and hope to see you at our event.
Thanks,
Vicki and Julie
