MLT VTS Workday at Mad River Bluffs
January 23 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
Volunteer Trail Stewards are resuming workdays with the McKinleyville Land Trust (MLT) !
The first MLT workday is Sunday, January 23 from 10-12 p.m. at Mad River Bluffs
Parking on the north end of Ocean Drive (map below)
This first work day will be at Mad River Bluffs and we are going to focus on the Baduwat Trail, which leads from the Kiosk to the most southern overlook.
We will be cutting back shrubs and vegetation about 2 – 3 feet on either side of the trail, scraping grass off the trail, relocating native iris and cutting back blackberry from around the kiosk. If time allows we can also work on cutting back blackberry on the east side of the trail.
While we have some tools it is great if folks can bring their own PPE and tools such as pruners, loppers, gloves, shovels, wheel barrows and weed eaters.
Spacing is limited to 10 volunteers
As per COVID protocols, please bring a mask to wear at the initial group meetup.
To participate, please contact Julie Neander at email@example.com
