Hammond Trail VTS Workday

Greetings Trail Stewards,

Please join us for the next Hammond Trail work day Saturday, 4/1/23, 9am-11am, meeting at the end of Murray Road for the usual weedeating, trimming brush and trash clearing, etc. -There may also be stair replacement work if the materials are gathered in time. Treats and coffee provided. Please RSVP only if you plan to bring a group of 5 or more.

A winter note: we typically hold the Hammond VTS events (light) rain or shine, however in the case of the March event, we had to cancel due to snow/inclement weather that morning. If you plan to attend a winter event, please try to check your email the Friday before and morning of the event, as I will try to email the cancellation notice as soon as we know. It is your choice on whether you attend or not, but please just be aware that if you miss the cancellation notice, you might show up to no one at the meeting location – then you’re welcome to go home or walk the trail yourself if you’re game. And as ever, you’re welcome to email me with any questions.

Safety scoop — PLEASE:

1. Honor covid safety practices as comfortable – and please be careful of yourself and others.
2. Attend only if you are not showing any symptoms of illness.
3. PPE/gloves/tools courtesy Humboldt Trails Council and County Parks.
