Hammond Trail VTS Workday
April 2 @ 9:00 am - 11:00 am
Dear Trail Stewards,
A big shoutout and thank you to the Hammond Trail Stewards who attended the February work day at the end of Letz road- volunteers, including Telios Church and Mad River Rotary members, joined hands with County Parks staff to clean out a big abandoned camp — 3700 pounds worth (yikes). Thank you everyone!
The next Hammond work day is Saturday, 4/2/22, 9am-11am, meeting at the end of Murray Rd. We will be tending the usual – weedeat, trash pick up, signs cleanup, prune, remove invasives. There is no need for individuals to rsvp, but if you have a group of 4 or more coming, please email me a heads up for planning purposes.
Updated safety scoop:
Masks are recommended.
Please attend only if you are not showing any symptoms of illness.
Please let me know if you’ll be bringing a group over 4 people.
Water, coffee and treats will be available in the morning (please bring your own mug).
Hand sanitizer will be available on the hospitality table, along with tools and gloves courtesy of County Parks and Humboldt Trails Council.
Please email me if you have any questions. We’ll hope to see you there!
