Arcata Community Forest VTS Workday

Dear Amazing Volunteers,
At last, the long-term forecast does not seem to include rain. But, thanks to the rains and longer days, everything is growing. Consider joining us for the May 27th workday. We’ll start at 9 am and end about noon. We will focus on knocking back the abundant invasives that are thriving between Trail #18 and Fickle Hill Road. Lots of Scotch broom, crocosmia, ivy, and more. Should be more than enough for everyone! We work rain or shine.
I encourage you to bring your own gloves and water . . . we’ll meet at the Fickle Hill lot near Trail #9. See the map below. Let me know if you need more directions.
My plan to again offer a light lunch. It was nice to do that for the past two workdays and have volunteers linger afterwards (like pre-COVID times).
It is nice to know how many volunteers are coming so that I can better prepare tasks and tools. It would be great if you RSVP to me at hughes@humboldt.edu
