Arcata Community Forest VTS Workday

Dear Fantastic Volunteers,
We are going to be working in the Shay Park area for this coming workday, Saturday, April 23, 9 am – 12 (noon). We’ll be picking up trash, weed eating the grass growth along the Bay Trail North, clipping blackberry growth, and more. Should be more than enough for everyone! We work rain or shine.
I encourage you to bring your own gloves and water . . . and parking is often complicated here. The best options are on the north side of Foster but those are limited (see the map).
Things have certainly improved regarding COVID case counts but let’s continue to be smart. We will encourage masks and social distancing and I ask that you be vaccinated to attend. I will provide packaged snacks, have hand sanitizer, and have my usual supply of gloves. I would encourage you to bring water and your own gloves. Of course, don’t attend if you are not feeling well.
I’m not restricting numbers but it is nice to know how many volunteers are coming so that I can better prepare tasks and tools. It would be great if you RSVP to me at hughes@humboldt.edu
