2nd “Ships to Shore” Benefit Ride and Cocktail Tour

Saturday, February 9, 2pm

The Humboldt Trails Council (HTC) is hosting its second benefit bike ride – the Ships to Shore Cocktail Tour on Saturday February 9 from 2 p.m. – 5:00 pm. The ride will be a family friendly six mile loop. It begins at the Gazebo in Old Town Eureka and heads south to the old pier at W Del Norte Street where cyclists will learn about the development of the newly constructed Hiksari Trail from HTC Board Member Merritt Perry. Then, the ride will travel north along the bay, to Y Street, where speaker Miles Slattery, from the city of Eureka, will talk about the Eureka Waterfront Development Plans.

The ride will end back in Old Town Eureka at the Siren’s Song Tavern, which has graciously offered to donate one dollar from every drink sold throughout the day to the Humboldt Trails Council. Music by ‘Jenners Band’. Complimentary hors d’oeuvres  and bike lights will be provided for ride participants. A ten dollar donation is requested to participate in the benefit bike ride. KIDS ARE WELCOME!

Proceeds from this event will help The Humboldt Trails Council support the development of The Bay [T]rail, The Annie & Mary Trail, The Arcata Ridge Trail, and The Lacks Creek Restoration and Recreation Plan.
