ARCATA’S RAILS WITH TRAILS PROJECT, continued from home page...
The City will be soliciting bids for the project’s first construction phase which includes building a Class I, ADA accessible pedestrian and bicycle trail through town, passing just three blocks from the downtown Plaza and connecting several Arcata neighborhoods.
This project is funded by a $608,000 Federal Transportation Enhancement grant and $240,000 of local matching funds. Construction is slated to start during spring of 2013.
Everyone is invited to the meeting to get more information about the project scope, construction schedules and talk about traffic concerns.
